God is faithful!

On January 3rd we launched The Remnant Church! God truly used you in a powerful way. Because of your prayers and financial support we experienced an amazing Launch Sunday!

This is a huge blessing as we endeavor to be a gospel-centered, multiethnic, micro church movement that exists to embrace, equip, and empower all people to know and follow Jesus for the glory of God!

We do this by providing a tangible expression of God’s manifested presence where the people are in Leesburg, Lake County, and beyond!

As a micro church movement, we seek to optimize discipleship. We have three spaces in which we seek to make discipleship the intentional component of our church: 1) Macro Gathering; 2) Micro Gathering; 3) D-HUDDLES.

Our Macro Gatherings happen the 1st Sunday of every month. We use this time to gather together and celebrate what God is doing in our church and city. We Preach Christ, calling people to repentance and faith. We celebrate through baptism and the Lord’s Supper as we visibly and tangibly experience Christ together in unity.

Our Micro Gatherings happen on the 2nd - 5th Sunday evenings. This space operates more like an engaging, equipping, and mutually edifying space as we converse about the passage we currently find ourselves in. We assign the passage a week ahead of time so everyone can be prepared to engage and share how God through his Spirit brought them understanding and how they have been challenged to live in light of what he is saying through his word.

We value this space because in most traditional gatherings those in attendance rarely engage the passage with one another in that setting. This allows us an opportunity to really encourage one another in the word with the end goal being transformation and not merely information.

In addition to our Macro and Micro Gatherings, the optimal space for discipleship happens in our Discipleship Huddles. These huddles consist of 3-5, gender-exclusive groups where we can walk through life-on-life discipleship with the goal of becoming more mature disciples and are equipped to replicate this process so that at the end of the year those who are currently in huddles can lead their own huddle. We see this as the most effective way to multiply by making disciples who make disciples. This is the core DNA of The Remnant Church and is the barometer for how we determine the success and health of our ministry.

COMMUNITY UNITY

On January 16th we participated in a Community Unity Event with Grace United Bible Fellowship in Ocala, Florida. It was such an awesome time of coming together to reach their community. We look forward to how God continues to allow us to partner with others in the Body of Christ to love our neighbors.

PRAY FOR US

This month also brought challenges. As you know, church planting is spiritual warfare and the enemy would love nothing more than to stop us where we stand.

First, I was involved in an accident and totaled my vehicle. But God in his mercy allowed me to walk away with no injuries. Like Job, when he received four negative reports in Job 1, worship was his response. Even though this could be considered a set back, I choose to worship in the midst of it. I know that nothing can stop God’s mission from advancing.

Additionally, Please pray for God to cover us as we engage in the spiritual war as we encroach on enemy territory with the gospel of Jesus!

Also, Pray for our D-Huddles. We have several individuals who have committed to making the effort to pursue greater growth this year. Pray that it will be a year of growth like never before for those involved.

Finally, Pray for the Leaders of Remnant and our families. Pray that God would use us however he sees fit, to advance his gospel in Leesburg and beyond!
