Preparing for Women’s Conference at Grace Alive
In this current climate, the idea of women gathering together in person in one location may be somewhat frightening to some, and I get that. Considering that many are still contracting the Corona Virus, some are maintaining their isolation at home. While we continue to have apprehensions about being a part of a group larger than five-ten people, others may be thinking that this can be my way to reconnect with the outside world, disengage with a fear (legitimately so) and maybe experience some normalcy again. Whatever your thoughts or feelings about gathering, I hope you will strongly consider joining us at Grace Alive for our first Women's Conference.
As we partner with The Summit Church in Durham, North Carolina, via Live Stream, we have strategized ways to remain distant and safe! This live streaming event will take place at Grace Alive on March 5th and 6th. There will be times of live praise and worship with a female band, we'll hear from bible teacher, author, and speaker, Jada Edwards (my former Pastor's wife) from One Community Church in Dallas, Texas. I am genuinely excited about this opportunity to bring this to the women, and let me not forget to mention the drawings! Every woman who registers early will be eligible for the picture…we like prizes!
The cost for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is ONLY $10 for each woman and $12 if you register a child or children. There are people already preparing an exciting time for your child(ren). It would be our sincere pleasure to care for your pre-school and school-aged child(ren) while you attend this experience. Children will be temperature checked and are required to wear their masks throughout their time there.
This year's conference title is; Unpack the Realities of New Life in Christ! If you are like me, I want to know the conference speaker's scripture text, are there prepared conference notes, will there be breakout sessions, can I stream this from home, questions? While there will be no break sessions or formal prescribed conference notes, I know the scriptural content. I am offering this so that you can connect with God's word whether you attend or not. Take some time to read, study, meditate, and pray over the following passages.
Colossians chapter 3 and John chapter 15. Also, please pray for all participants' health and well-being as we gather for this transformative event. Ask God to prepare our hearts to receive the realities of a new life in Christ!
All will be required to wear a mask, socially distance themselves, and keep their hands sanitized with our many sanitizing stations throughout the building. Also, participants will receive individually wrapped snacks and treats in their very own conference bag!
Please consider being a part of this event in person, even while facing this critical time in history. Maybe the benefits will outweigh the risks as we consider who God is and who we are In Him!
Finally, I pray that if you have not gathered that you would consider the healing that takes place when women gather; The help that can be had when women gather and let's not forget the hope that women can receive by gathering…safely!
