Go Bold Quarterly Update

A Message from Pastor Cam

Hey Grace Alive family,

As I write this letter I’m reminiscing about what a special year 2020 actually was. I know “special” seems like a peculiar title for such a grief stricken year. We saw the worst of politics, the tragedy of a pandemic, and loss after loss in a year that had very high expectations from many. In hindsight we shouldn’t have been surprised. With great gospel progress often comes significant testing and temptations. We don’t have to look much further than the Bible and church history for such examples. The beauty in all this, the darker our circumstances the brighter the gospel of Christ shines.

We are more than halfway through our GO BOLD discipleship journey and I can personally say our faith has been tested. It seems like the moment we said we would GO BOLD for our neighbors, nations, and generations our family faced severe spiritual warfare. From a family perspective, Ty and I took one of the greatest commitments of generosity we have ever taken. We honestly wondered how we would do it. And that’s the point. We couldn’t. God has to demonstrate his power through our courageous faith and we saw what a mighty God we serve. As we see all God is doing around us and through us we can only look at each other and say “We are glad we went BOLD.”

Through every trial we were drastically reminded the Gospel is Unstoppable! Even in a national shut down we reached hundreds of people for Easter, we have seen ministries like Grace Alive U flourish in reaching students, our building has facilitated feedings, and our generosity has fueled the launch of our first church plant! While many churches were displaced for months and some even a year, we were able to secure a permanent facility to facilitate mission. Grace Alive, your generosity has overflowed into other churches. We praise God, that through our BOLD faith in a mighty God we can also partner with Greenhouse church so they can utilize our facility to worship even though they were displaced due to Covid-19. Honestly, that’s the tip of the iceberg. Time and space won’t permit me to give you the details of how our partnerships with Straight Street and Samaritans Village are flourishing to reach our neighbors, or how we are witnessing our student ministry come together right before our eyes, or how we have given our largest allocation to the largest mission agency in the world. We still have a long way to go. How are you following through on your commitment to be used by God?

I’m pastorally begging for you not to miss this opportunity. The Lord can do much with our little. You can’t do it. And that’s the point of every spiritual success in 2020. God did it. And amazingly, He used our time, talent, and treasure.

For God’s Glory,

Cam Triggs

For Our NEIGHBORS

Straight Street

On March 11th nine members of Grace Alive, along with eight college students and a few other

volunteers showed up at 808 W Central Blvd., the Straight Street site, to feed the homeless

community in Orlando. It was a day filled with expectation and excitement, as our church began a partnership with this amazing organization. More than 70 people showed up to receive a plate of food, charge their phones, receive hygiene products, and be seen and valued.

For the NATIONS

First Time Guest

Between in-person and online, we had 42 First Time Guests join a service in between January 1, 2021 and March 31, 2021!

On March 28, 13 people came out to our latest Taught and Caught training be trained with strategies and tools to generate gospel conversations in everyday life, to overcome fear, and to be reminded of the

great hope we have in Jesus. Once the training was complete they went out into the neighborhood to

pray with families and offer the message of the gospel.

For the GENERATIONS

We have seen tremendous growth in the kids ministry classes. We have averaged 12 kids per week which is over a 200% increase from the last quarter of 2020. Each week the kids play games, sing songs, and most importantly, hear a gospel lesson to strengthen their relationship with Jesus.
